Orissa is a land of rich heritage culture, temples, monuments, arts & crafts and historical places. It is also home of lakes, waterfalls and wildlife sanctuaries. It is the most visited place of eastern India. The attractions places during Orissa tour are Konark, Bhubaneswar, Puri, Lingaraj Temple, Jagannath Temple, the Caves of Udayagiri and Lalitgiri. We can enjoy the magnificence of the golden beach in Puri. It is covered in golden sand. We can also do swimming at the end of the beach named Chakra Tirtha Rd but carefully do this. By Air: The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar

By Road: Bhubaneswar is located on the National Highway that links Kolkata and Chennai.

By Rail: Bhubaneswar is the most important Railway Station in Orissa. The city is serviced by important trains.

Itinerary

Duration: 10 Days/9 Nights

Places to visit: Delhi - Bhubaneswar - Baliguda - Rayadaga - Chatikona - Jeypore - Gupteswar - Taptapani - Puri - Konark - Delhi

Day 1: (Delhi Arrival)

On the arrival at the Delhi IGI airport you will reach Delhi and will be accompanied to the hotel that has been booked in advance. After reaching hotel you can go sightseeing tour in Delhi like go for historical places, shopping in Chandi Chowk etc. After enjoying the day you will return back the hotel for the overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2: (Delhi - Bhubaneswar)

Board a flight to Bhubaneswar in the morning. Arrive at the Bhubaneswar airport. Check in and proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Bhubaneswar in the morning. Visit to Lingaraja Temple, Rajarani Temple and Vaital Temple.

Day 3: (Bhubaneswar - Baliguda)

In morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to the beaches of Baliguda. Check in at the hotel on your arrival. Later in the day, proceed for a tour of Baliguda, its fishing and tribal villages, and Desai Khodh. Return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay in Baliguda.

Day 4: (Bhubaneswar - Rayagada)

Leave for Rayagada in the morning. En route visit Kauttiya Kondh Tribal villages and Rasul Kondh villages. Attend the weekly market at Kothagargh. Check in at the hotel on arrival and relax. Overnight stay at Rayagada.

Day 5: (Rayagada - Chatikona - Jeypore)

After breakfast visit the tribal communities especially the Dongaria Kondh tribes. After shopping in the weekly tribal markets for souvenirs and interacting with the members of the tribe, drive to Jeypore overnight.

Day 6: (Jeypore - Gupteswar - Jeypore)

Proceed for another full day excursion to Gupteswar caves near Jeypore in the morning. Here, you also get to interact and observe Dhuraba tribal villages. Drive back to Jeypore in the late afternoon for an overnight stay.

Day 7: (Jeypore - Taptapani)

Drive to Taptapani in the morning, 300 km away. En route, visit Jagannath Temple and the Tribal Museum at Koraput. Check in at the hotel and relax. Visit the famous hot water spring. Overnight stay at Taptapani.

Day 8: (Taptapani - Puri)

After breakfast you will go on a sightseeing tour of Chandragiri in the morning, home to a Tibetan village settlement. Later in the day, drive to Puri past the Chilika Lake. Here, you can go on a brief cruise on the lake, tour the bird sanctuary and islands. Check in at the hotel on arrival in Puri for an overnight stay.

Day 9: (Puri - Konark - Puri)


Proceed for a full day excursion Konark in the morning, 2-hour drive from Puri. Visit the Sun Temple and the fishermen's village nearby. You will overnight stay in Puri.

Day 10: (Puri - Bhubaneswar - Delhi)

Drive to Bhubaneswar airport in the morning to board the next flight to Delhi. Check in at the hotel on arrival in Delhi and relax for the day or go on a shopping excursion to the famous Delhi markets especially Connaught Place and back to the home.
