Gwalior is the ancient city of the Madhya Pradesh. General Information

Best time to visit: October to March.

Culture: Gwalior celebrates Rang Panchami quite differently. This festival is celebrated five days after Dulendi or Holi. Dul Dul Ghori dance and Saharia Dances are the popular dances of Gwalior. The Tansen Festival is the celebrated in November/December. It is a well acknowledged place of art, associated with historic as well as contemporary evidence.

Food: Jalebi, Moong Dal Ka Halwa, Kadhi, Morena Gajak. Highlights: Gwalior Fort and Sas Bahu Ka Mandir.

Climate: The climate of Gwalior touches high 46 degree centigrade and minimum 21 degree Celsius while in winters it drops down to a minimum of 5 degrees and maximum 35 degree Celsius.

How to Reach

By Air: The Gwalior Airport is located at a distance of 8 km from the main city. The Indian Airlines connect Gwalior to places like Mummbai, Indore, Bhopal and Delhi.

By Road: An excellent road-network connects Gwalior to Agra, Jaipur, Delhi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Khajuraho, Indore and Ujjain.

By Rail: The Gwalior railway station is on the main Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Chennai route.

Duration: 4 Days/3 Nights

Places to visit: Delhi - Gwalior - Delhi

Day 1: (Delhi Arrival)

On the arrival at the Delhi IGI airport you will reach Delhi and will be accompanied to the hotel that has been booked in advance. After reaching hotel you can go sightseeing tour in Delhi like go for historical places, shopping in Chandi Chowk etc. After enjoying the day you will return back the hotel for the overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2: (Delhi - Gwalior)

After having breakfast you will go for Gwalior by flight. You will check into the hotel Gwalior. After refreshment you can see the half day sightseeing of the Gwalior. Overnight stay in hotel in Gwalior.

Day 3: (Gwalior Tour)

In morning after breakfast you will continue the tour of Gwalior. Today you will see the Gwalior Fort, Man Mandir Palace, Gujari Mahal, Sas Bahu Ka Temple etc. Return to the hotel for night stay.

Day 4: (Gwalior - Delhi)

After breakfast you return back to Delhi by flight.
