He was known as Buddha and also called the Tathagata which means "the one who has come thus as shakamuni , shakamuni means the sage of the Shakya tribe."Buddha was born in Lumbini, Nepal and his childhood name is Siddhartha Gautama. Buddha traveled to India to spread his knowledge. He was known asan Indian prince, who later renounced his throne and founded Buddhism. He founded Buddhism, after attaining enlightenment, to spread the message of peace and ways to achieve nirvana. Three jewels are the foundations of Buddhist sacrament and custom: the Buddha, the Dharma (the teachings), and the Sangha (the community). Buddhist chants, meditations and monasteries are at the centre of the rituals and worship.

We take you to all the important Buddhist cities across India to relive this glorious, religious past. By Air: Major Indian cities are well connected with Patna airport .Gaya is well connected with Airways, nearest Airport is Gaya at a distance of 8 km from Bodhgaya but the main airport is in Patna and about 106 km from Bodhgaya..Delhi have l Airport from where Domestic Airlines for Bodhgaya are easily available. Patna has an airport, well connected to the major cities of India.

By Rail:
Delhi and Patna is a major station in the broad gauge route, with all necessary connections with the cities of Buddha through the broad gauge rail network.

By Road:
The city which is situated in National Highway No.2, this city is on the way of Delhi-Kolkata Highway that is the main road communicator which is passing through Patna. Bodhgaya is also connected with some more roads and streets with other parts of the state.

Day 1: (Delhi Arrival)

On arrival at New Delhi International Airport will be met by our representative with garland welcome and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 2: (Delhi - Agra)

After breakfast you are driven to Agra in Uttar Pradesh, India. On your arrival in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India the Indian Horizons representative meets you and assists you to check in at a hotel. Later in the day you set out on an excursion to the Fateh-Pur Sikri. Visit the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort in the evening and come back to the hotel in Agra for dinner and an overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 3: (Agra - Varanasi)

After breakfast transfer to the airport for a flight for Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, India. On arrival in Varanasi check in to a hotel. Leave for an excursion to Sarnath and come back to the hotel in Varanasi for an overnight stay.

Day 4: (Varanasi - Bodhgaya)

Enjoy a morning boat ride on the river Ganges and come back to the hotel for breakfast. Later in the day visit the tourist attractions of Varanasi such as the Benaras Hindu University and the Bharat Mata Temple. Drive to Bodhgaya in the afternoon. On arrival check in to a hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure and stay overnight at the hotel in Bodhgaya.

Day 5: (Bodhgaya)
after breakfast you will visit the Maha Bodhi Temple and spend the rest of the day at leisure and stay overnight at the hotel in Bodhgaya, Bihar, India. Day 6: (Bodhgaya - Patna)
After breakfast drive to Patna in Bihar, India and visit Nalanda and Rajgir en route. On arrival check in to a hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7: (Patna - Kushinagar)

After breakfast drive to Kushinagar via Vaishali. On arrival check in to a hotel with assistance from the Indian Horizons tour representative. Visit the Maha Pari Nirvana temple and Ramabhar Stupa and come back to the hotel in Kushinagar, India.

Day 8: (Kushinagar - Lumbini )

After breakfast you will proceed for Lumbini, India. On arrival at Lumbini check in to a hotel and go on afternoon visits to the Mayadevi Temple, Stupas and the Ashokan Pillar. Stay overnight at the hotel in Lumbini, India.

Day 9: (Lumbini - Balrampur)

After breakfast drive to Balrampur and visit Kapilvastu en route. Spend the evening at leisure and stay overnight at the hotel in Balrampur.

Day 10: Balrampur/Lucknow/Delhi

After breakfast drive to Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, India en route visit Saravasti. On arrival at Lucknow transfer to the railway station board a train for Delhi, India. On arrival check in to hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi, India.

Day 11: Delhi

After breakfast you will proceed for enjoy sightseeing tours of Delhi, India and explore the monuments of Delhi. Visit the Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb, Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Chandni Chowk, Rashtrapati Bhawan and other tour destinations. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi, India.

Day 12: Delhi Out

Morning transfer to the International Airport so that you can fly back to your intended destination.
