Balpakram National Park

Balpakram national park, located to the extreme south Garo hills of Meghalaya at the distance of 90 kilometers. This National park spread over an area of 220 sq kilometers at the height of 3000 feet and established in the 1987. It is one of popular national park with exotic species of flora and fauna. Hullock and Gibbons the only ape species found in India can be seen here. You can reach this place only by road. Mostly species have to be extinct. The scenic beauty increases the prettiness of this place. There is however regular helicopter services from Shillong and Guwahati to Tura.

Flora: Pitcher plant, Orchid and drosera.
