Almora Hill Station Tour

It is the famous mountain escape of Uttrakhnad. There are lots of attractions at Almora. The headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission was located at Mayawati Ashram then in Almora. It is a town in the shape of Horse Shoe. Here is unique tradition and culture which attracts the visitors. Nanda Devi temple is the popular tourist destination which is the heart of that place and it is also called the town of temples. The two rivers, Kaushik(Koshi) and Shalmali(Suyal) flow near the town. Best time to visit: April to June and September to October

Its culture is rich and strong. Fairs, temples and house are the evident thing of that place. Nanda Devi festivals are the most famous of all celebrated in the month of September.

Food: Chinese food and Biryani are the famous food. Kurli is known to serve amazing Biryani.

How to Reach

By Air: Nearest airport is Pant Nagar and it is 125 kilometer away from Almora.

By Train: Kathgodam railway station is just 91 km from away from the main town and regular train operates from the nearby cities.

By Road: Almora is well connected with all-important cities of India by road.

Itinerary

Duration: 6 Days/5 Nights

Places to visit: Delhi - Nainital - Ranikhet - Almora - Delhi

Day 1: (Delhi Arrival)

On the arrival at the Delhi IGI airport you will reach Delhi and will be accompanied to the hotel that has been booked in advance. After reaching hotel you can go sightseeing tour in Delhi like go for historical places, shopping in Chandi Chowk etc. After enjoying the day you will return back the hotel for the overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2: (Delhi - Nainital)

After having breakfast you will go for Nainital from bus or own vehicle from Delhi. You will check into the hotel Nainital. After refreshment you can go for various attractions like Mall road, Scenic sight, Naini Lake, Bhimtal etc and then stay in hotel in night.

Day 3 and 4: (Nainital - Ranikhet)

In morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Ranikhet. You can see all attractions of Ranikhet after take rest in hotel like stunning view of Himalaya ranges, Kosi and Kausani River.

Day 5: (Ranikhet - Almora)


After breakfast you will go to Almora to see the hills and temples. You will see the Nanda Devi Temple, Almora Fort, Koshi, Deer Park etc. Then you can night stay in Almora.

Day 6: (Almora - Delhi)


Last day you are free for shopping activities and then you will go for back to the Delhi.
