Ajanta Ellora Caves

India’s most visited historical place is Ajanta Ellora Caves which is located in the Maharashtra. There are 29 Buddhist temples in series. These caves carved in 2nd century BC out of a horseshoe-shaped cliff along the Waghora River. Ellora Caves are twenty eight kilometers (18 miles) from Aurangabad. Cave temples of Aurangabad make a worthy prelude to the far more celebrated Ellora and Ajanta. Some of the sculptural work here ranks with the best in India. The cave temples of Aurangabad cut between the 6th and the 8th century are nine kilometers from Aurangabad, near Bibi-ka-Maqbara. The magnificent colored painting on the walls of these caves represents the Buddhist,Hindu and Jain thoughts.
