Shankarpur Beaches

Regular buses ply between Calcutta and Shankarpur. The weather in that place is tropical and the place can be visited almost during any time of the year except during the monsoon season when the place gets its share of rainfall.

Frazerganj Beaches

This the matchless beach from the other beaches of west Bengal. The best time to visit here is July to March. The destination is also all too famous for the migratory birds that can be sighted over there Sagardwip. The silvery beach and the lighthouse of the Sagardwip attract the tourists.



Bakkhali Beaches

It is located 134 kilometers from the Kolkata. It is the rustic beach destination of west Bengal. This little beach town south of Kolkata wears a lush green cover as the monsoon clouds lash over the Bay of Bengal. The best time to visit here is November to January. The popular activities which you can do here are swimming and beach walk. The beach stretches 6 kilometers in length and is a land of golden sand and flowing surf, shooting the sea-breeze. This Beach is an excellent place to relish the tongue tinkling Bengali cuisines.

Junput Beaches

This beach is less crowdie compare to the other beaches of the West Bengal. Junput Beach Tour is not as ‘wild’ as that in Digha and Shankarpur and that’s why an ideal place to opt for sweeping. Originally a small fishing village, Junput has turned into a center for brackish fish cultivation and is the place where research on fishes is carried on by West Bengal fisheries department. This beach is good for new married couples. This beach offers a beautiful sea view. This beach is 40 kilometers from the Digha by bus. Explore the serene sea beach of Junput. The sea of the region is quite and clam. The distance of Kolkata from Junput is 145 km.
